We are excited you’re considering a visit!

We are a family of believers that love to gather together to worship and to encourage each other. There are so many good times and tough times here in this world. It is nice to have each other for mutual encouragement. It's even better to be reminded of our Savior Jesus and his love that carries us each day. We hope that you will find our environment to be warm, friendly and welcoming for you. We gather together for worship, but we also like to get together for all sorts of events and outings. Come for a visit, and let us know if there is anything we can do to serve you!

  • The main entrance is in the center of our parking lot. When you come through our doors, you’ll be in our gathering area.  Everyone loves to visit before entering the sanctuary for worship. There are restrooms down each hallway.

  • Feel free to sit wherever you’d like, whether the front or the back.  If you need any assistance, an usher is ready to help.

  • Some people come in jeans. Some come dressed up. Come however you're most comfortable.  We’re most happy simply to rejoice in God's promises with you.

  • Services typically last about an hour. Jesus is the center of our worship, so there will be songs, hymns, and readings from the Bible that point to Jesus and the blessings we have in him. We talk about sin and troubles, and we rejoice in forgiveness in Jesus and the hope of heaven. In our sermons, we always aim to apply God's timeless Word to our ever-changing and challenging life.

  • Offering plates will not be passed during the worship service, but you may leave a gift in the offering plates by the doorways or give a gift online. The members of Good Shepherd give gifts to the Lord as a part of their worship. As a visitor, we do not want you to feel obligated to give an offering. God wants us to be cheerful givers, not guilty givers. If you would like to give a gift out of thankfulness to the Lord for his goodness to us, feel free to do so. The offerings and gifts support the work of the ministry of sharing Jesus' saving name here in The Woodlands and around the world.

  • Children of all ages are welcome at Good Shepherd.  We encourage parents and their children to grow in faith together as they hear God's word and sing his praise together. 

    • There will be a children’s message about 15 minutes into the service. The children will be invited forward for an object lesson taught by the pastor.

    • There are children’s bulletins and children’s activity bags available. An usher will help you find these.

    • Speakers in the gathering area allow you to follow along with the service if you feel the need to step out with your child.

    • There is a cry room available with a monitor to view the service.

    • Sunday School is offered for children during the school year, starting at 9:00 am.
